Building a Mark That Lasts
Onyx Ventures needed a visual identity that could carry the weight of a multi-sector holding company — precise, confident, and built to scale. We started from the ground up: brand architecture, naming hierarchy, and a mark that works at 8px and 8 feet. The result is a system tight enough to feel premium and flexible enough to live across ventures.
Typography plays the lead role — a condensed grotesque for authority paired with a humanist serif for warmth in editorial contexts. Color stays restrained: near-black, off-white, and a single signal color used sparingly. Every touchpoint was documented in a 48-page brand manual and delivered with production-ready asset libraries.
